Dubbing

Give a multilingual voice to your video content

On a video, sound carries as much emotion as an image. This is why GusTAV closely works with voice actors from all over the world to offer a dubbing service.

    Voice-over

Voice-over completely replaces the original speaker’s voice. It’s mainly used for narration and other commentary by an off-screen voice. Technique: We remove the original off-screen narrator in the source language, replacing it with a voice in the target language. This requires access to the original music and special effects.

    Oversound Dubbing

Oversound dubbing partially covers the on-screen speaker’s voice with the translated voice.

Technique: We lower the volume of the source language voice. Then we superimpose the target language voice over the source.

    Lip syncing

This method consists of matching the new voices to the lip movements of the on-screen characters as much as possible. It requires special, highly-technical adaptation.

    Unsynchronized dubbing

We replace the source language voice with a voice in the target language. The voice actor’s lines start when the on-screen actor opens their mouth, but the sound doesn’t sync with their lip movements.

Using dubbing to translate your content enables you to communicate with an international audience through video. Viewers will listen more closely and recognize your company better when you speak their language, even if it’s not a common one. This is a very affordable investment that gives you immediate returns by improving your image and demonstrating cultural respect.
